Their church wedding was extra special, officiated by a close family friend who had also married Amanda’s mother and stepfather. With their loved ones gathered, the celebration became not only a heartfelt union but also an opportunity for a tropical wedding getaway in Key West.
Despite the coastal breeze hinting at rain, Amanda and Mike held firm to their dream of a ceremony on the beach, and nature rewarded them—the skies remained clear, and the ocean waves provided a serene backdrop as they exchanged vows. Their wedding theme was inspired by vintage coastal elegance, featuring soft coral and gold hues, mirroring the breathtaking sunset over the Gulf of Mexico. Amanda’s dress was a showstopper—a mermaid-style wedding gownwith a sweetheart neckline, paired with a flowing cathedral veil that danced with the sea breeze. And I absolutely love photographing veils! They add such a dreamy, ethereal touch to destination wedding photography.
One of their most cherished moments was stopping at their Key West beach cottage between ceremonies, where they shared an intimate moment with their beloved dogs—a beautiful break before heading to their lively oceanfront wedding reception. Another unforgettable highlight was their first dance under the stars, swaying beneath twinkling lights to the song they had chosen three years earlier when they first got engaged—proof that some dreams are simply meant to set sail.
Honeymoon was sweet and playful in Orlando visiting Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios before saying I do, and romantic after the wedding for an extended vacation in Key West.
