Some love stories unfold like poetry, and Tori and Theo’s Key West wedding was nothing short of magical. With the ocean as their backdrop and palm trees swaying above, they celebrated their day with timeless elegance and effortless charm—surrounded by sunshine, history, and the people who mean the most. As a Key West wedding photographer, capturing days like this is a dream. Casa Marina Wedding Morning: Grace and Ocean Breezes The day began at the iconic Casa Marina Key West, a legendary resort built in 1920 that blends old-world glamour with tropical luxury. Located right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, Casa Marina weddings offer the perfect mix of architecture, natural beauty, and resort comfort. Tori got ready with her bridesmaids in the elegant Orchid Room, where soft morning light filtered through the windows and the excitement was palpable. Her strapless lace wedding gown was stunning—delicate and flowing with a long, romantic veil that trailed behind her like a whisper. She was the picture of island elegance. Theo dressed in a classic black tuxedo, his calm demeanor giving way to excitement as the moment drew near. Their first look took place under the resort’s signature arches—an architectural hallmark of Casa Marina weddings. Surrounded by sunshine and ocean breeze, Tori walked toward Theo with her veil catching the light. When he turned to see her, time seemed to pause. It was a quiet, powerful moment filled with love and awe. Hemingway House Wedding Ceremony: Romance in the Tropics From there, we traveled to one of the most unique and beloved Key West wedding venues—the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum. A true Old Town treasure, this lush estate is full of tropical greenery, quiet corners, and literary history. The couple’s Hemingway House wedding ceremony took place beneath the swaying palms, with vibrant green gardens surrounding them. Their vows were filled with meaning, their smiles unshakable. It was the kind of ceremony that leaves everyone breathless in the best way. As a Key West wedding photographer, the Hemingway House is always one of my favorite places to shoot—there’s something timeless and soulful about every corner. Reception Under the Stars As golden hour gave way to starlight, the Hemingway House transformed into a garden oasis for the reception. String lights twinkled overhead, tables were set among the trees, and the evening unfolded with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts. Tori and Theo’s Key West wedding reception was both intimate and lively—just the way a tropical destination wedding should be. With music, love, and moonlight in the air, it was a night no one wanted to end. Thinking About a Wedding in Key West? If you’re dreaming of a destination celebration in paradise, a Key West wedding offers everything—historic charm, ocean views, and world-class venues like Casa Marina and the Hemingway House. Whether you’re planning a romantic elopement or a full wedding weekend, this island is pure magic. As a Key West photographer specializing in weddings, and portraits I love helping couples bring their vision to life and preserve every detail with timeless imagery. Happy planning! 💛 As a Key West wedding photographer, I get to witness so many beautiful love stories—but Diana and Peter’s wedding at the iconic Casa Marina Key West was one of the most vibrant and heartfelt days I’ve had the honor to capture. A true fusion of Greek and Croatian cultures, their celebration was emotional, joyful, and full of unforgettable moments from start to finish. Diana began her day in the serene Orchid Room at Casa Marina, surrounded by her bridesmaids and the soft glow of the Florida morning light—perfect for timeless getting-ready photos. Meanwhile, Peter met us downstairs at the hotel bar with his groomsmen, where we captured a few relaxed, fun shots before the festivities began. Their first look was everything—emotional, genuine, and deeply personal. As a Key West photographer, it’s moments like these I treasure most: raw connection, away from the crowd, tucked under the elegant archways of Casa Marina, just the two of them soaking it all in. The couple exchanged vows during a breathtaking Key West beach ceremony, with the ocean as their backdrop and a warm breeze rolling in. From the tears in their eyes to the joy on every guest’s face, it was a ceremony full of heart. Then came the celebration. With a mix of traditional Greek and Croatian music, incredible food, and nonstop dancing, the reception was alive from the very first beat. Diana and Peter’s families knew how to throw a party—the dance floor stayed packed until late into the night. Diana and Peter, you were an absolute dream to work with—kind, down-to-earth, and so deeply in love. Thank you for trusting me to capture your incredible day. Your energy, connection, and joy made every single frame feel alive. And yes—this blog post is long. And yes—it’s packed with a lot of photos. I had the absolute joy of photographing Amanda + Mike’s wedding back in 2017, and this month, I got to see their love story evolve yet again—this time during a family session at Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park. Now a sweet family of three (with little Ava leading the way), they’re getting ready to welcome baby number two into their lives. And the best part? The gender is still a surprise! As a Key West photographer, there’s something incredibly special about reconnecting with past couples—especially during such meaningful life chapters. This Key West pregnancy and family session was soaked in that golden Key West glow, made even more magical by a soft reopening at Fort Zach that meant we practically had the entire place to ourselves. No crowds, just laughter, love, and soft ocean breezes. Ava was full of energy and curiosity, running through the sandy trails and cuddling close with her mom and dad as the sun dipped lower into the horizon. You could feel the warmth between them—the kind of love that grows deeper with time. Capturing moments like these is why I became a Key West wedding photographer in the first place. It’s not just about the wedding day. It’s about the chapters that follow. This session was filled with tender belly kisses, barefoot walks, and a glowing mama-to-be wrapped in soft light and love. Amanda radiated grace and strength, while Mike beamed with pride as he held his girls close. If you’re planning a family session in Key West, or looking for a Key West photographer who can capture not only your milestones but the quiet in-between moments—I'm here for it all. From “I do” to “we’re expecting,” I’m honored to document every step. Some love stories don’t need an audience — just a quiet space, a deep connection, and a promise. Alice and Anders chose to keep things simple and beautiful with an intimate courthouse elopement in Key West. No big guest list, no fuss. Just the two of them, a couple in love, ready to start the rest of their lives together.
The Monroe County Courthouse served as the perfect backdrop for their vows — meaningful, relaxed, and full of charm. As a Key West elopement photographer, I’ve learned that some of the most emotional, heartfelt moments happen when it’s just the couple, completely present with each other. Alice wore a short white dress that felt effortlessly chic and playful — the perfect choice for a sunny day in the Keys. Anders looked at her like he couldn’t believe his luck. After the ceremony, we wandered through the nearby Old Town streets, capturing romantic elopement photos in the soft afternoon light. We laughed, explored, and took our time — it was relaxed, real, and full of joy. Their elopement felt like a love song — sweet and timeless, just like “Just the Two of Us.” And while this day was just for them, Alice and Anders might be planning a larger wedding celebration in Spain next year. But for now, this was everything they needed — and it was an honor to document it. Mary Elizabeth & Phoenix’s Key West Wedding: A Day Filled with Love, History, and Hemingway Cats4/1/2025 There’s something magical about a Key West wedding—the island’s charm, the ocean breeze, and the rich history woven into every street. For Mary Elizabeth and Phoenix, this beautiful island became the perfect setting for their unforgettable wedding day. From getting ready in a cozy Airbnb to their emotional first look at the Key West Lighthouse and a lively celebration at the historic Hemingway House, every moment felt straight out of a dream. As a Key West wedding photographer, I love capturing these timeless love stories in such an iconic destination. The day started with excitement and laughter as Mary Elizabeth and her bridesmaids got ready in a sunlit Airbnb, tucked away in the heart of Key West. With mimosas in hand and music playing in the background, the atmosphere was light and joyful. As she stepped into her wedding dress, the reality of the day truly set in—she was about to marry the love of her life. Phoenix, meanwhile, enjoyed a relaxed morning with his groomsmen. Between adjusting ties and sharing a few nerves-turned-laughs, the anticipation built as they headed to the first look. An Emotional First Look at Key West Lighthouse The first look took place at the historic Key West Lighthouse, one of the most stunning spots on the island. As Mary Elizabeth walked toward Phoenix, the world seemed to slow down. When he turned around, his face lit up with pure emotion—joy, love, and a few happy tears. They took in the moment together, wrapped up in each other’s arms, savoring the start of their forever. With the lighthouse standing tall behind them and the ocean breeze in the air, they captured some truly breathtaking portraits before gathering for family photos beneath the swaying palms. As a Florida Keys photographer, I love incorporating the natural beauty of the islands into every shot, creating images that feel both romantic and timeless. A Storybook Ceremony at Hemingway Home & Museum There’s no place quite like the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum for a wedding. Surrounded by lush gardens and Old Florida charm, Mary Elizabeth and Phoenix exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends. As if on cue, Hemingway’s famous six-toed cats wandered through the venue, watching the ceremony unfold as if they, too, were guests of honor. The setting was nothing short of magical. The historic home, towering palms, and romantic pathways created an intimate atmosphere, making their vows even more meaningful. As they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, cheers filled the air, marking the beginning of their greatest adventure yet. As a Key West photographer, I always find inspiration in the unique blend of history and romance that makes this venue so special. Dancing Under the Stars at the Reception As the sun dipped below the horizon, the celebration kicked into full swing. Long wooden tables adorned with glowing candles and lush tropical florals set the scene for a night of heartfelt toasts, delicious food, and nonstop dancing under twinkling lights. The Hemingway cats, never ones to miss a good party, roamed freely among the guests, occasionally pausing near the dance floor as if enjoying the music. The night was filled with laughter, happy tears, and moments the couple would cherish forever. A Wedding to Remember in Key West Mary Elizabeth and Phoenix’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of history, romance, and island charm. From the intimate first look at the lighthouse to the unforgettable reception at Hemingway House, every detail reflected their love story perfectly. What started as a maternity session quickly evolved into a full-fledged family photography session at the picturesque Truman Waterfront Park in Key West. As a Key West photographer, I always strive to capture genuine moments, and this family’s deep love and affection made for the most heartwarming images.
Vasil’s parents joined us for a few shots, bringing along their adorable dog—on a scooter! It was a scene straight out of a movie, and I couldn’t resist capturing the joy and spontaneity of the moment. Instead of just a maternity photoshoot, the session became a beautiful mix of family photography, pregnancy portraits, baby photography, and even some pet photography. After spending time at Truman Waterfront Park, we took a short drive to Fort Zachary Taylor, one of the most stunning backdrops in the Florida Keys. Even though the sky was hazy, the soft light created a dreamy, ethereal feel, perfect for capturing intimate family moments. As a Florida Keys photographer, I love creating timeless images that families can cherish forever. This session was filled with laughter, warmth, and pure love—a true testament to the beauty of documenting life’s milestones in an authentic way.
