Siobhan + Patrick
The first time I had the pleasure of meeting Siobhan and Patrick was due to Siobhan finding my photography through Pinterest search and booking my " Save the date " session.
We had a beautiful day in sunny Key West and went to couple of different locations. I was more then thrilled to see their wedding invitation printed in beautiful heavy paper inviting all their family and friends to the Little White House for their special day.
Siobhan and Patrick met at the meeting while they were both working on different political campaigns.
Patrick proposed before Siobhan's favorite holiday, New Year's Eve.
Together they picked their wedding venue as a nod to their political past. Patrick also grew up in Islamorada and his late father lived in Key West for many years. "It is one of our favorite places to visit" Siobhan said. Therefore the choice of getting married in Key West was an easy one.
The Truman Little White House set a charming scene for a classic Key West wedding. The chic navy and gold palette with pops of pink color inspired by fashion designer Kate Spade offered a sophisticated but fun feel. Siobhan had a stunning silk chiffon wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline and she looked absolutely angelic.
Guest of honor and also officiant of Siobhan and Patrick's wedding was mayor Bob Buckhorn from Tampa. Siobhan used to work for him as a special assistant, but he said that it felt more like he worked for her. I could tell that it really meant a lot to them to have him at their wedding, due to a lot of mutual respect.
We also had the chance to escape for an hour to take a few wedding photos at Fort Zachary Taylor Park. Afterwards the couple drove around town in a cute custom made buggy, while making their way back to the reception.
Seeing the way Patrick looked at Siobhan with the most natural and genuine of smiles is the reason I photograph weddings. I get the opportunity to capture forever the memories of two people who are truly in love, through a series of still images.
We are so happy we got to witness your first day as husband and wife and we hope we'll get the chance to be a part of any other special occasion as they continue to arise in your future.
Congratulations Siobhan and Patrick!
