Hi, I'm Romi and I'm so excited that you stopped by
Blessed and lucky is how I feel about working with so many amazing couples each year. Key West, Florida is home to my wedding photography, engagements, and unique underwater love stories.
After 16 wedding seasons, I've seen the ins and outs of the business and industry.
Having sunny Key West as my home base has given me an appreciation for the tropical vibe and beautiful backdrops I’ve always dreamt of, along with the creative community and wonderful bond we share among all the vendors. My knowledge of wedding venues, lighting, and stunning locations allows me to create your dream wedding photos.
In the beginning, my dad taught me photography using old film cameras and developing photos in the darkroom. This really taught me to understand my camera settings. Working in the photography field and attending numerous workshops over the years, along with guidance from a few photography mentors and retouchers, shaped my deeper understanding of light, shapes, colors, and editing. It helped me create harmony in my work and focusing on those fleeting, special moments that bring back all the heartwarming feelings when you look at your pictures again. Traveling and street photography also shaped my views.
The science behind developing images excites me and, because of that, I collect old cameras, love black and white images and my passion for photography has grown stronger over the years.
Timeless, editorial-yet- honest and authentic describes the style of my photos.
My clients appreciate a calming, non-intrusive, but helpful presence. I understand how very important it is to create beautiful portraits of you and your loved ones, and the traditional aspects of the wedding day are crucial as well.
I go further than posed portraits and dig deeper to capture and uncover true emotion and character. Those special fleeting moments during your wedding day provide me with limitless opportunities to find and capture those perfect candid images.
My process is simple. I prepare through our conversations and careful study of timelines and details, so that on the day of the wedding, I can focus on being in the right place at the right time.
You work really hard to make your wedding day happen and my goal is to create a beautiful documentation of your whole day, with details and elements that will serve as a legacy to future generations. Simply put... to tell your story! I take lots and lots of candid shots through out the day so you'll have a variety of pictures to choose from and when I see great light or an opportunity I will ask if it's aright time to capture some additional posed photos.
Underwater photo sessions are one of my specialities. If you wish to have unique photographs especially for save the date invitations.
My underwater work "Life Aquatic" was exhibited in TSKW, and I've been represented by Lucky Street Gallery. My photography was published in a many different media, and I'll be happy to provide you with this unique experience.
When I'm not creating, brainstorming about photography projects or keep striving for more learning experiences you can find me playing pickleball, loving my rescue pup that is the biggest cuddle bug, or discovering new unique breakfast/coffee spots on my travels with my loved ones.
Feeling a love connection?
I would love to hear about the journey that has brought you this far, so don't be shy, leave a comment or drop me a line via the contact page.
Warmly,
Romi
