In their 25 years together Roger and Roland have traveled extensively to countries such as Kenya, Tanzania and Australia, and they lived in different parts of the world. But when it came time to plan their wedding, they wanted tropical feel of Florida Keys and decided that Casa Marina Resort, Key West would be their ultimate dream wedding destination.
Their wedding day was full of emotion and playful fun. Their friends shed endless tears as they watched these two exchange rings and have their first kiss as a married couple after waiting so long. The first kiss is a big moment for any couple, but it often carries more weight for same-sex couples who did not grow up assuming they would someday be able to marry someone. Real love, cannot be defined or limited by pointless demographics such as age, race or gender. It just happens. If you’re lucky enough. We were grateful to be a part of this beautiful and diverse international wedding and wishing you long life of happiness and fun!

Imagine a dreamy island wedding held in a lush, tropical setting surrounded by the Florida Keys’ blue-green water, a white sandy beach and swaying palm trees. Then picture Sunset Key Cottages, and that fantasy becomes reality. This spectacular resort occupies seven acres of the island. Beyond the resort, guests may explore the white sand beaches or take a short ferry ride to Key West. Sunset Key is renowned for its exclusivity and privacy. Amanda and Jonathan enjoyed their dream beach ceremony followed by a cocktail hour on a chartered catamaran with their closest friends and family. All of this was topped off with a glorious unobstructed sunset view at the end of the day. Their emotional connection is completely endearing, and it’s obvious they love having a lot of fun together and that they love to dance. It was evident in their relationships with friends and family, too, how incredibly special this day would be for everyone. Amanda & Jonathan, we wish you a long life of love and happiness together! Lovely floral design by Milan Events. Reverend: Steve Torrence Second photographers: Doug Falter, Roman Valigura Videography: Mark Pierson @markjpiersonfilms.com A beautiful sunny day in Key West, Florida. Sasha and Trey, along with their family and friends, celebrated this special wedding day with so much loving joy it was contagious.
Sasha looked stunning in her beautiful wedding gown and Trey couldn't hold back his tears while she walked towards him down the isle at the peaceful and serene setting in Fort Zachary Taylor Park. The couple looked absolutely radiant! Details in dress and decoration reflected the theme of the location, such as baby blue gowns for the bridesmaids and matching socks for the groom and groomsman. What resonated most about this couple’s day was Sasha and Trey's loving relationship. Their friends and family, who contributed in shaping them as individuals and as a couple, shared in their special dynamic. We were treated as a family and it was such a pleasure to be apart of their special day!! Thank you Sasha and Trey, Congratulations!!! We love you! Valerie and Matt are amazing people with such fun personalities. They were from Delray Beach but planned a destination wedding in Key West, Florida. Valerie chose gold, blush and white colors for her wedding day an wore a beautiful mermaid wedding gown with three lace tiers at the bottom of the dress. Valerie and Matt added some traditional Jewish aspects to their wedding such as celebrating with the energetic circle dance known as hora. Everyone's positivity ensured a beautiful evening sky and we were fortunate to get outside to capture some wonderful photos around Mallory Square and Ocean Key Resort and Spa. Together, they enjoyed the rest of their special day and I wish them all the best as they begin this new journey in life, united and in love! Congratulations Valerie and Matt!!! Nick had a special request to have his wedding photographed after sunset, which was a spectacular display that evening. The sun dazzled and set fire to the cloudy sky and ushered in the humid evening. The ceremony was lit under the warm ambiance of paper lanterns, white, glowing balloons, and an endlessly changing sky. Jen and Nick's dynamic and tender relationship is equally shared amongst their families and friends. The amazing people they are surrounded and loved by made for an unforgettable party following the ceremony. We think you’ll also agree that it is hard to take your eyes away from Jen's beautiful, custom made wedding gown. There’s no doubt that lasting memories were made that day, and we were so glad to have been there to capture them. Congratulations, Jen and Nick! I cannot stop smiling at this darling duo.
As the sun was about to set, Rocio and Kevin exchanged their vows at beautiful Casa Marina, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. The last few warm golden rays of early evening sunlight scattered through the palm trees on this magical occasion. With Kevin's family living on the East Coast and Rocio's family living on the West, one family was bound to travel and they decided that Key West was the perfect tropical wedding destination which happen to be their favorite vacation spot as well. Traditionally, Rocio's family gifted to the lovely couple an heirloom of specially blessed coins that are being passed on from one generation to the next! We wish you much happiness, Rocio and Kevin!!! Thank you for letting us capture your special and meaningful celebration! Last month, we traveled to Aspen, Colorado for Bri's and Travis unforgettable wedding.
Bri's inspiration for her wedding was an enchanted forest theme with birds and her wedding was absolutely whimsical. Their wedding day was surrounded by beauty of every kind, from getting ready in Viceroy in Snowmass Village to the first look in beautiful Hallam Lake at Aces in Aspen followed by the ceremony to the amazing Rock Bottom Ranch in Basalt, Colorado. Our beautiful bride Bri had A-line Hayley Paige wedding gown in striped ivory color and looked absolutely stunning. The next day we visited the most beautiful places with panoramic views of rolling hills and distant mountain ranches. Bri and Travis were such a delight. We loved their laughter, willingness to be silly and adventurous and, most of all, how they relish in each other. Congratulations, Bri and Travis!!! We wish you lots of love! We loved working alongside cinematographer Jeremiah Hutchens. After a romantic proposal, Cheryl and Alan decided to have their destination wedding with only a precious handful of their closest friends and family in Key West at The Reach Resort . The bride's chosen hues of tropical blues reflected both the serene beach setting and laid back atmosphere of their union.
Having a bit of fun before the ceremony, Alan shined a tasteful comedic twist with brilliantly placed leaf of lettuce in his playful smile during their First Look. The intimacy of their wedding was further honored by our bride's brother, Paul, presiding over the ceremony and joining Cheryl and Alan together. The two stunning flower girls did their job to perfection, making it almost all the way to the end of the festivities. Basking in the glow of the setting sun, love was abundant and felt by all, as two wonderful families became one, and the celebration sparkled on into the night. Jessica and Jack picked the Southernmost House in Key West offering the perfect destination location for their wedding. With a cozy beach-house vibe, white lights and lanterns strung overhead, their wedding decor was both tropical and romantic in vibrant colors of teal and coral.
Jessica wore a simple and elegant sweetheart neck fit and flare wedding dress and looked absolutely stunning. The first look was very touching. Jack and Jessica could not see each other but were united at their hands as Jack's grandma gave the blessing on their marriage. Jessica and Jack’s friends and family were a lively crew – just the right mix for a fun post-wedding party. Everyone danced into the night to Rusty Lemon's performance, before sending the bride and groom off for more celebration on Duval St. An abundance of happy tears and laughter saturated our wedding couple's special day, and we were so glad to have been a part of it. Congratulations Jessica and Jack! We’re proud to share these joyful moments with you! Misa and Chris traveled from Ohio for this destination wedding at the beautiful Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada. Misa is originally from the Czech Republic and she was introduced by friends to her groom, Chris, on a Summer evening. After Chris proposed to Misa in Miami, they started making plans for their dream wedding.
The Cheeca Lodge and Spa was recommended by their dear friend and after seeing photos and traveling to see the location, they knew this is their place they would say their " I do's". The bride and groom exchanged vows in the presence of their 25 closest friends and family members. The couple had a tropical beach wedding with lots of green, white and pink details. Warm summertime sunshine blessed Misa and Chris's afternoon nuptials and even the rain didn't stop our newlyweds from having so much fun. They danced in the rain on the the rooftop deck until the late hours. Misa looked stunning in her wedding gown and I was happy to be a part of their special wedding day! |
